CarMax Celebrates 17 Years as One Of Fortune Magazine's 100 Best Companies To Work For®

Company Hiring More Than 1,400 Positions Nationwide

RICHMOND, Virginia (April 12, 2021) – For 17 consecutive years, CarMax, Inc. (NYSE: KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, has been named by FORTUNE magazine as one of its 100 Best Companies to Work For®. CarMax ranks #36 for 2021. This recognition means that CarMax is one of the best companies to work for in the country.

To determine the 2021 list, Great Place to Work® surveyed over half a million employees at companies across the country and evaluated how each company supported their people and communities in response to the pandemic.

CarMax is a growing, innovative company, and is currently hiring for more than 1,400 positions in existing and new locations across the country including:

  • Marketing, technology, product and data scientist positions at the CarMax Home Office and the CarMax Digital and Technology Innovation Center in Richmond, Virginia. Fully remote positions are also available for Technology and select Product roles.
  • Customer experience consultants and managers at its Customer Experience Centers in Kansas City, KS; Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC; and Phoenix, AZ.
  • Automotive Technicians and other service operations associates across the country, including reconditioning associates, painters, detailers, inventory associates, and more.
  • Customer service positions at CarMax Auto Finance in Atlanta, GA.
  • Additional store positions are available in sales, the business office and for fleet drivers.
