CARMAX OPENS NEW STORE IN ORLANDO $10,000 Donation Presented to Local Mothers Against Drunk Driving Chapters

RICHMOND, Va. (May 6, 2005)—CarMax, Inc., (NYSE: KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, officially opened its third CarMax store in the Orlando area today. The new store, located at 5751 Eagle Vail Drive, is across the street from the current CarMax auto superstore in Orlando and will feature new Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles. The new CarMax Orlando Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge store employs 76 people and is the third CarMax in the Orlando area.

"We have revolutionized the way consumers buy cars," said Austin Ligon, president and CEO of CarMax. "Our Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge new car customers get the same CarMax benefits. We provide great customer service, no haggling, low transparent prices on the car, financing and fees, and the vehicle they want." CarMax operates seven new car franchises in the U.S.

During a grand opening event attended by local dignitaries today, the new CarMax store General Manager Ron Whitener presented a $5,000 check donation to Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s local MADD Central Florida Chapter and its student-led University of Central Florida UMADD Chapter. Daimler Chrysler matched CarMax’s donation with an additional $5,000 check. CarMax is the founding sponsor of the UMADD program. CarMax provided a $150,000 national grant to the program in 2005 and a $100,000 national grant in 2004.

"MADD is grateful to Carmax and Daimler Chrysler for their support of MADD and our lifesaving work," said Laura Dean Mooney, president, MADD Central Florida Chapter. "Thanks to their donation, we are able to help save more lives and prevent more injuries in the community through programs to stop drunk driving and prevent underage drinking, as well as serve more victims and survivors."

Our new Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge car store offers the same hassle-free CarMax process we offer at our used CarMax stores, which includes:
-Low no-haggle price on every new car
-Sales Associates paid the same no matter which car you buy
-Service performed by Manufacturer & A.S.E Certified Technicians
