RICHMOND, Va. (July 28, 2009) - CarMax, Inc. (NYSE: KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, announced today that The CarMax Foundation awarded $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond for Camp Little Hawk. The grant is on behalf of the approximately 250 Home Office associates who volunteered with the organization throughout June and July.
Volunteer projects included literacy and craft projects at various clubs and also assisting with Camp Little Hawk events. The camp, located in Goochland County, provides week-long summer camp experiences for hundreds of youth from the greater Richmond area.
