RICHMOND, Va. (July 18, 2008)—CarMax, Inc. (NYSE: KMX), the nation's largest retailer of used cars, has begun construction on the first CarMax superstore in Augusta, Georgia. CarMax currently operates five additional stores, located in the Greater Atlanta area.

The Augusta location is expected to open in 2009 and will provide approximately 75 jobs. The new 13,525 square-foot superstore will be built at 130 Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway on more than 5 acres of land.
